Audio Video Home Automation

From the Early Stone age, fire was discovered. And from that important day up to the 21st century, new things were discovered everyday. Newly discovered things that helped daily living as much better as possible. In this day and age, one of the comforts that technology had given to mankind is those that concerns audio and video materials. These audio and video materials, from being first invented, had also taken a journey of their own, a journey of their evolution.

In the 19th century, scientists were thoroughly convinced that wireless communication is greatly possible. And starting from Michael Faraday in 1831 up to Landell de Moura in 1894, the birth and evolution of radio had begun. Radio was made from simple crude materials in the early days. But now, in the 21st century, with one touch of a button, anything is possible. The simple radio of the 19th century has now reached a great level of efficiency and accessibility in this age. From the crystal radio sets made from a simple antenna wire in the 1900’s to what is now known as Audio Home Automation. There are many companies who offer their products and services, even online, in providing the best customized audio home automation. The client has the option to choose how they liked their audio systems installed. No more worries of having hanging and unattractive cable wires. There are companies who will make these cables disappear through strategic and careful planning. They can hide these cables and still, create and provide the best sound system in just one push of a button. There are also some companies who offer built-in sound systems that will distribute the music in every entire rooms of the house. And this wonderful technology is just one push of the button away.

Like the history of radio, television has its own story to tell, its own story of evolution. From its original creation, the standard bulky box-type with its “rabbit ears” antenna (the tube type), the television has gone a lot of changes since then. Today, there are LCD and Plasma TV’s, televisions that are so slim, they can be easily built-in the wall. Not only have the television have slimmed down, but it also comes in different sizes. And thanks to technology, a person doesn’t need to get up from their comfortable chair and change the channel. All it needs are just a few push of the buttons. There are many companies that offer services, not only for installing built-in TV’s but raising the quality of TV viewing to a higher level. This is where the Video Home Automation comes in. It’s like having a mini-theater in one’s own, comfortable home. There are companies who do offer high-end video installation. And TV viewing will never be the same.

Technology of the 21st century has reached a height that no man in the early centuries had ever imagined. As always, there is almost nothing impossible in the world of the 21st century. Who knows what will come next in the world of inventions. The old crude and simple audio and video materials of the olden days have now evolved into a very much sophisticated tools of entertainment and information.

The term 'home automation' is now acknowledged as covering most I.T., automation, communication and wiring aspects of our homes. Most of these functions can be installed independently of each other, but the real benefits of the automated home are realized when these different aspects communicate with each other. For example, having two PC’s networked together in the home, giving both users access to the internet may seem like the forefront of technology, but imagine if they were tied into our house wiring and could turn lights and appliances on and off automatically when we are away from home, even via the internet. Imagine that the PC was networked into our security system and could display images from our home security cameras onto our computer screen at work.

Broadly speaking, automation is the process of automatically performing everyday functions around the home to save you time, energy, money and at the same time offering improved security. The ‘automation’ is performed by a central controller. This can be either a standalone unit or a piece of software on a PC. Both options have their advantages. The controller can carry out a number of functions:

There are real benefits to having your automation controller and security system combined in one unit. You have the advantage of infra red detectors from the alarm system being available to perform/trigger automation tasks. You can also benefit from the alarm system knowing whether you’re at home or not.

Needless to say, if the alarm system forms the basis of automation system, then it needs to be of a particularly high standard, able to expand to suit all requirements. You should be able to connect smoke detectors in to the system. When triggered, automatically switch on lights to illuminate the exit route whilst at the same time dialing the fire brigade with a pre recorded message.
